Shimano introduces hydaulic disc brakes for the road

Shimano Ultegra goes electronic

Shimano has just announced that their Di2 electronic shifting technology will be available at Ultegra level from September. Irish Cyclocross Nationals results

2011 National Cyclocross Championships – Details

Details have just been released for the upcoming Cyclocross National championships in Lurgan Park. The course is approx 1.4 mile in length and should take the lead riders approx 7-7.20 mins per lap.  5 mins have been cut of out the course used by Apollo at the start of the season.

UCI allows disc brakes in Cyclocross

In a surprise move te UCI has allowed the use of disc brakes for competition in Cyclocross.  For mountain bikers this is a no brainer, the benefits of disc brakes in a sport that competes in the dead of winter with mud and snow is obvious to all.

McCall CX National champion

Joe McCall won his first Cyclocross Nationals on Sunday in a fast paced race in St Anne’s Park.  The experienced rider distanced second place by a full minute  in the race which lasted just over 1 hour.

Supercross Cup Round 2 results
