On Test – Bluegrass Bobcat & Wolverine

March 5th, 2013 · No Comments

Bluegrass have been making waves in the mountain biking world for a while now and not just for their sponsorship of World class Enduro racing.  Well thought out, ergonomic and comfortable protective gear that doesn’t impede on the cyclist is what they are all about and we thought it was about time that we tested some of it.  Without further ado we give you the Bluegrass Bobcat and Wolverine.

The Bobcat was developed and tested by World Cup Downhill riders but is perfect for the Enduro rider  or the trail rider looking for a little bit more protection.  Non constrictive they flex a lot better than hard pads and have nice extra features like padding on the side of the knee.

The Wolverine is a padded short that you wear over a traditional cycling short.  It provides protection to hips, thighs, buttocks and coccyx and you will forget you are wearing them.  We have tried them under a baggy short and under tights and have not found them restrictive at all.
