UCI to appeal Contador acquittal

Contador shows some cards in Andorra

Back to the Volta a Catalunya where Spain’s Alberto Contador took the stage in style with a solo victory by some 23 seconds.  The Saxo Bank rider showed his powerful acceleration to jump clear, only matched by Levi Leipheimer, the American eventually dropped too.

Volta a Catalunya heads into tough day

Leinster League round 1

Over the weekend the fist round of the Leinster League was hosted by Racing 795 just outside of Bunclody.  The course was a highlight of last year and didn’t disappoint again despite greasy conditions.  It was also the first race featuring the new categories and the results show that they seem to be working.
