For 2011, the new XO returns as a complete product family, featuring the legendary XO rear derailleur, trigger shifters and an all new 2X10 crankset with front derailleur which promises amazing shifting performance. New Avid XO brakes provide the first XO specific brakeset to complete the family.

Family is the word that SRAM are using for their groupset, in fact they are going as far to say that it goes beyond a groupset as they also include suspension forks, handlebars, stems and seatposts.
The new XO borrows loads of technological innovations from its bigger (and much more expensive brother) XX which has taken the XC world by storm this year. SRAM has made a firm commitment to its belief in the 2×10 crankset for its high level ‘families’ from X7 up, something that we agree with and that may yet become a defining characteristic between Shimano and SRAM (although they do still make a triple). Why would you need one with a 11-36 cassette?
For now XO will continue what it has been doing very successfully for years - winning World Cups in XC, DH and 4X and World Championships many times over.
Available in four color variations (red, gold, silver, blue), with multiple gear ranges, derailleur cage lengths and disc rotor sizes the new SRAM XO (2×10) is the key to an incredible level of performance and integration for a variety of applications, from all-mountain to gravity riding, right up to XC racing. Availability: August 2010. Expect major groupset wars over the winter as both SRAM and Shimano have totally revived their lineups in the past 12 months.
