We have just received a box of goodies from Piranha, a new Irish company which manufactures bike cleaning products.

Developed specifically for Irish weather conditions these products are carbon friendly, water soluble, non alkaline and bio-degradable.  The chain lubes in particular are interesting with both a wet and dry formula available for winter and summer conditions. The main selling point of these products is that they are kind to the bike eliminating that dry cable feel you get after washing your bike with most of the competitor products.  Obviously being an Irish product there are savings to be had too with an estimated 15% saving over the competitors.

On test we have a Combo bucket which features a bottle of bike cleaning solution, Dry lubrication Teflon spray, Wet lubrication Teflon spray and a micro-fibre mitt.

Founder Alan Carey has competed in 2 Olympic Games and 3 World Championships as a canoeist so knows a thing or two about competing.  The company has big plans and aims to get into the UK this year.  In the meantime they are being rolled out across the country.  Look for them in your local bike shop.  Full reviews to follow.  See piranha-bike.com for more
