Review - Sealskinz Ultra grip gloves

December 15th, 2009 · No Comments

Merino is our favourite fabric so we were thrilled to see it in a glove but a little dubious to whether it would really be waterproof.  Suffice to say we were pleasantly surprised.

100% waterproof yet not sweaty (gotta love that Merino wool) these are great.  The wool keeps you warm in the bitter cold we are seeing at the moment and the microdots give great grip for brake levers and shifters.

Fit is critical with these so try before you buy, they work like a second skin.  The close fit allows you to pull the sleeve of a jacket over them so that the rain drains off not up your sleeve.

Almost exactly a year ago we reviewed Sealskinz’ All Weather gloves which were our previous favourite Winter glove.  These fit better as they are a single layer but were perhaps a little warmer.  These perform really well and are a closer fit meaning they stayed on when we stopped too rather than the All Weather gloves which came off to operate things like GPS and phones.  We are not saying that they were bad gloves but overall we just prefer these ones.

Functional and fantastic look no further for the perfect Winter glove.  RRP is roughly€31.
