More new stuff from the biggest bike show in the World…

This is the new Anthem X Advanced carbon fibre.  Last years aluminium bike sold out in record time and was the hot bike of the year.  For 2010 we get a carbon fibre version aswell which ships yet more weight!  The 2009 Aluminium version was lighter than its 2008 carbon brother but for 2010 we lose another 200 grams for a frame weight of 2100 grams!  Pictured here is the range topper featuring full SRAM XX groupset including Rock shox SID XX fork and Mavic SLRs.  Expect it to come with a heftyprice tag though…

The Flash is the new cross country carbon hardtail from Cannondale.  To prove how light it is this rig had the frame balanced by a water bottle and multitool.  Pretty impressive when you think about it.  The total frame weight is about 980 grams.  Its not just a light frame though.  The rear stays are designed to flex slightly for a more forgiving ride.  We are sceduled to get some trail time on one of these at some stage so we will let you know if it works!
