Vinokourov back with Astana for Vuelta

K-Cap round 2 results

It seems the weather gods are not smiling on the K-Capital challenge this year as once again rain soaked the course prior to the start forcing the organisers to shorten the course to 30kms. Despite this 128 riders braved a great challenging course. Well done to all who took part.

Irish rider Paul Healion killed in car crash

Irish team rider Paul Healion was tragically killed in a car crash on Sunday evening. Healion was crowned Irish national criterium champion in May this year and had taken a stage of the FBD Insurance Rás in May.

The opening day of the Tour of Ireland leaves the Ritz-Carlton in Powerscourt heading to Waterford. Ahead of the Peloton are several intermediate sprints, a climb within the first 2 kms and Mount Leinster half way through the stage.
