Component manufacturer Syncros has just announced some new products for its 2010 lineup including new carbon wheels, pedals and stems. We have been busily testing Syncros products over the past while and they have proven exceptionally strong and durable yet lightweight so we are particularly eager to see the companies additions for next year.

Stage 7 of the Tour de France sees the riders tackle the first mountain top finish in Andorra. Over 224km the peloton face five summits including one category 1 and the Hors category finish in what is the first real indication of what will happen on GC.

Dramatic TTT as Armstrong misses yellow by fractions

Today the riders faced the return of the Team Time Trial ot the Tour de France and the possibility of the yellow jersey changing hands. The teams went off in the order of the overall team classification with many of the GC contendors in serious danger of losing major time.

Columbia cause carnage as Cav makes it 2 from 2

Mark Cavendish of Columbia-Highroad claimed his 6th Tour de France victory in a sprint finish yesterday, stage 3 ahead of Cervelo’s Thor Hushovd. The win in itself was something else but the way the team rode was particularly significant.

New Giro TT helmet

Helmet manufacturer Giro debuted a new Time Trial helmet at Saturdays stage 1 of the Tour de France. Astana, Garmin and Rabobank are all sponsored by Giro and their riders are using the as yet unnamed helmet for the first time in competition.
