New product- Ritcheys ergonomic mountain bike bar

Ritchey have just produced a new ergonomic cross country carbon handlebar. Called the 10D flat mountain bar, this bar has a weird M shape when viewed from above. The idea is to provide the sweep of a riser bar with the low profile of a flat handlebar.

Armstrong collarbone update

(Now updated with two videos) Lance Armstrong underwent surgery yesterday on his broken collarbone. Originally the fracture was thought to be a simple break but when the Americans doctors looked at the x-rays in Austin, Texas they discovered that it was actually in four pieces.

Lance Armstrong breaks collarbone

7 time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has suffered his worst career accident crashing out of the Castilla y Leon yesterday with a fractured collarbone. The American crashed with just 0ver 15 kilometres to go on the first stage whilst riding in the front group. He hadn’t been outside the top 10 all day.

Results from the Djouce Challenge

Amid fantastic weather conditions 160 riders set out to ride the 15+ kilometres of pristine singletrack in Djouce woods, Co.Wicklow. Designed by a team from Team WORC the trails were amazing with great climbs and descents mixed in to keep riders entertained.

DT Swiss XCR100 gets lighter

5 Pro Tour teams in trouble with the UCI

The UCI announced Friday that five Pro-Tour teams faced exclusion from the upcoming Paris-Nice race and other Pro-Tour races for non-payment of fees for the biological passport system. The five were named by UCI president Pat McQuaid as Cofidis, Bbox Bouygues Telecom, Silence-Lotto, Quick Step and Caisse d’Epargne.

Review - Avid Elixer R brakes
