Richie Byrne is running a series of his excellant kids days in January at various venues.  These days are designed to introduce children to the sport of mountain biking in a safe controlled manner and are very successful.  This month for the first time the program includes a downhill intro day on the 31st of January in Cloon, Glencree.

These days don’t happen by themselves so as per usual parents may need to help out.  Contact Richie for more details at 0876376065.  The DH Day is for kids with any bike really and they will be dealing with very basic skills.
The groups will be divided up in to 3 groups, based on ability and confidence.
There will be no racing and everybody is encouraged to ride to their own ability.

All ages between 5 and 15 are catered for.

Riders are required to have a helmet, gloves, a rain jacket, change of clothes and a working bike capable of surviving the trails.  Parents are requested not to show up with children in baggy cotton tracksuits as these get sucked into chainrings and get heavy when wet.  3/4 combats or tights under baggy shorts are ideal.  Hoodies are also suggested as not suitable with a fleece under a light rain jacket recommended.
