New products from Ritchey

November 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Ritchey Ritchey have been at the forefront of mountain bike product design since the dawn of the sport so when they introduce some new products it is always worth a close look.

WCS Ergo Bar ends

First up are these rather nice WCS series ergonomic bar ends.  Lightweight, these are designed to work with both riser bars and traditional flat bars and are ergonomically designed for comfort.  Weighing just 74 grams they cost €32.90 per set.

Also just released are a series of grips.  The first two feature lock on collars to prevent your grip from flying off the bars.  Both the grips are made from neoprene foam, extremely light weight and have been a longtime favourite of riders, appearing now with a locking collar.  The foam is designed to be plush and grippy even in the worst conditions.  Have a look at the Swiss power riders bikes and you will often see these as their grip of choice.  The two versions are available at €19.90 each with the ergonomic version slightly heavier at 120 grams compared to the 116 grams of the normal grip.

The third new grip is the Truegrip VI white.  It is durabel, robust and now in white.  Ergonomically shaped for your hands its made of no-slip Kraton rubber and lightweight at only 88 grams.  The price is great too at €7.50.

Also recently announced is the Ritchey webstore where you can pickup parts, tools and accessories direct from Switzerland.  Note that all prices are in Swiss Franks, not Euros! (Euros are about a third cheaper).  We picked out this Merino wool retro training top as a favourite straight off.  As it’s Merino it is not going to smell, it will breath and yet keep you warm.  If you havn’t checked out this wonder wool then do so now.
